In the fall of 2014, during the dive of four divers, one of them had a serious diving accident. Although they were diviing in a group, the first two divers got away from the two others, and the last of the four was late. The third diver started a emergency ascent, in the middle of which he suddenly fell to the bottom, where he remained lying. After a while, the last of the group found him there, pulled him to the surface, and began to perform CPR.
During a later medical examination, it was found that the injured person had a foreign object in his lungs, which probably got there from the regulator. The accident in this case did not have a fatal outcome, and the diver fortunately survived the accident.

Roman Kudela discusses the details of the accident in his article Diver’s accident due to foreign object aspiration in the first issue of SWARM magazine. The entire article can be downloaded in pdf.
